In the spring of 2003, my pastor talked about a missionary, George Müller, who kept a
ledger where he documented his prayer requests.  In the ledger, George Müller
included the date he request each prayer, the prayer he was  requesting, how God
answered his prayer and the date God answered.

I remember thinking at the time that it was a great way to give God the glory.  When
we are going through a difficult time, we sometimes allow Satan to torment us with
thoughts such as "God doesn't care about you".  But the truth is God does care and
He does answer all of our prayers.  He sometimes says "yes" to our requests and
other times He says "no".  But I think the most difficult answer is "wait".  The point is
He answers.

A few weeks later, there was an increase of prayer requests from friends, loved
ones, and fellow Christians.  Each night when I prayed, I sometimes forgot to mention
everyone's prayer request.  Somewhere in my purse and Bible were little pieces of
paper with names and phone numbers of people I had promised I would pray for
them.  If you are a woman, you understand that little pieces of paper flooding around
in your purse does not help you be more organized in your prayer life.  I believe men,
scribble on the back of business cards and their checkbook but this too does not
help men become more organized in their prayer life.

I began to feel guilty about forgetting to pray for the needs of others.  I know guilt is
not of God.  The God we serve is loving and caring.  He knows everything about us.  He
knows about our busy lives.

God began to form My Prayer Log in my mind but I was so busy that it took several
months before the design was completed.     I am so glad; we serve a merciful and
gracious father.  No only did He patiently wait for me, but He also never gave up on me.

My prayer is that My Prayer Log will help you become the prayer warrior God intended
you to be.

Blessing to all of you,

Pat Moshfeghian
